Brand new initiative celebrating the hard work put in by MFS Refrigeration Apprentices
Marshall Fleet Solutions have announced the first winner of their new Apprentice of the Year award. The MFS apprentices are an extremely hard-working group of individuals, and this new initiative has been launched to celebrate their success.
Every single MFS apprentice deserves to be recognised for the hard work and effort they put into their studies. So firstly, hats off to the Class of 2021 MFS apprentices Adam Soutar, Danny Rao, Declan Campbell, Harry Jarvis, Kaylem Richards, Lewis Darrington, Tom Gilbert, Wellington Gororo and Naqib Mohamed. Their fantastic work throughout the last year has made awarding the title of MFS Apprentice of the Year 2021 a tough decision.
In order to find the winner, the apprentices were scored by an independent panel based on a comprehensive set of criteria. Feedback was taken from the City of Liverpool College who deliver the apprentices training as well as feedback from each apprentice’s mentor.
The winner of the first ever MFS Apprentice of the Year award is Naqib Mohamed.
In celebration of his achievement, Naqib has received a £500 tools voucher as well as a certificate and a trophy. When asked how he felt about his win Naqib said “Winning this award was a really nice surprise and totally unexpected!” he then added “It really meant a lot that the work I have put in was recognised and in turn, I was awarded something that would help me further my career”. Pictured below are Naqib and his mentor, Ivan on the day his new tools arrived.
Naqib, who is based out of Marshall Fleet Solutions Ashton depot, was praised by the City of Liverpool College as being an excellent student who is well respected by his peers. The college are confident that he will continue to progress nicely throughout his qualification trail.
When we reached out to Naqib’s mentor Ivan Sutton for his feedback, he said “I was extremely impressed with Naqib from the first time I met him at his initial interview, he stood out at the time, and still continues to be an outstanding Apprentice, he is a credit to himself, and to the company.”
