Marshall Fleet Solutions has announced that well known industry professional Michael Kane is to join the Cambridge-based company as sales director, with effect from January 2019.
Reporting directly to the recently announced incoming MFS managing director Mark Howell, Michael replaces incumbent Justin Grace, who has acted as interim sales director for the past 18 months, having initially joined MFS as a consultant to help develop and implement a change in their strategic direction.
Announcing details of this key appointment, outgoing MFS managing director George Ralph said, “Justin’s efforts have enabled us to refocus and strengthen our sales performance improving both the results, structure and processes, and will give Michael an excellent platform to maximise our sales performance in the future.”
Michael Kane is currently sales director at Seven Telematics, a role he has held for the past 12 years, and where he has successfully led an operational sales team providing temperature monitoring products for the transport industry. Prior to Seven Telematics, Michael was sales director at temperature-controlled bodybuilder GRP in Westbury as well as handling national sales roles for both tail lift manufacturer BAR Cargolift GmbH and transport refrigeration supplier Carrier Transicold UK over a 10-year period.
“With a background covering telematics, temperature-controlled bodybuilding, transport refrigeration and tail lift manufacturing, Michael has the perfect pedigree and background to successfully fulfil the responsibilities of sales director here at Marshall Fleet Solutions. Supported by an experienced team of industry professionals, Michael’s expertise will ensure that MFS continues to make significant progress across all three of our operational divisions,“ said George Ralph.
When he joins MFS in January, Michael Kane will form part of a three-strong senior management team reporting directly to the incoming managing director, Mark Howell.
“Marshall Fleet Solutions is one of the largest commercial vehicle service companies in the UK and the recent announced planned changes to our organisational structure, that include the arrival of experienced professionals such as Mark Howell and Michael Kane, are part of our long-term plans to take MFS through the next new chapter in its development,” commented George Ralph.
