Marshall Thermo King, part of the growing Marshall Fleet Solutions company, is currently looking to increase its nationwide installation team for the company’s truck and trailer refrigeration divisions to deal with the ongoing increase in demand for Thermo King transport refrigeration systems in the UK.
Cambridge-based Marshall Fleet Solutions is one of the largest installation companies covering transport refrigeration and tail lift equipment in the UK. With two dedicated installation facilities in the north of England, Marshall Fleet Solutions also operates a significant team of mobile installation engineers covering its truck/trailer and light commercial vehicle operations all over the country.
“Once we have recruited these additional refrigeration engineers, we will have an impressive circa 60-strong nationwide Marshall Thermo King installation team offering a dedicated specialist service to temperature controlled bodybuilders and customers all over the UK,” said George Ralph, managing director, Marshall Fleet Solutions.
Within the Marshall Thermo King operation, there is an extensive installation facility in Ashton in Makerfield in Lancashire, which is supported by 24 full time installation engineers covering truck and trailer applications across the UK. This team is often supplemented by switching qualified mobile service engineers onto installation work to handle those occasions when there are increased fluctuations in seasonal demand.
Alongside the truck and trailer installation team, there are a further 20 full-time dedicated light commercial vehicle installation engineers operating out of a specialist light commercial vehicle facility in Little Hulton, also in Lancashire.
Both of these two Marshall sites are geared up not just for refrigeration unit installations but also to handle the installation of vehicle telematics and auxiliary equipment such as tail lifts, solar panels, bulk head doors and external lighting.
“Under the Marshall Thermo King banner, we now operate the largest and most experienced dedicated installation team within the UK transport refrigeration industry. As all our engineers are full time employees, we can concentrate on achieving consistently high standards of work quality nationwide. All our engineers undergo regular and thorough product and safety update training, as well as specialist training on areas such as ‘working at height’ and brazing,” commented George Ralph.
Installation work can take place at either of the two dedicated MFS installation sites or alternatively, at either one of the 17 Marshall Fleet Solutions regional branches or at the nominated bodybuilder, where qualified Marshall Thermo King mobile installation engineers complete the job on site. Each Marshall Thermo King mobile installation engineer within the truck and trailer division has his own dedicated installation van, which includes a full range of installation and service tools as well as the relevant access platform equipment and SafeContractor accreditation.
“By having a dedicated team of experienced professionals, we have been able to expand the volume of new installation work under the Marshall Thermo King brand, and build upon the strong reputation associated with the company,” added George Ralph.
